Day 11 - Saturday, July 11, 2009
I woke up early
today, but this time i woke up to my own clock. The first thing we did was watch the Toure de France on the T.V. Mr. Coombes
told me about the strategies that the bikers use, and why the teams ride in lines as opposed to individual sprinting. It wasn't long before Tom, Sam, and Romell woke up. We all ate a breakfast of Milo (an Austrailian
Chocolate cereal) and chocolate milk. After breakfast I took a shower and got dressed as Tom and Sam were getting ready for
their soccer game. After all of us got ready we got in Mr. Coombes' awesome car and drove off to the field. The soccer
game brought back memories of home and gave me a warm feeling inside. It didn't hurt that both Tom and Sam's teams won either.
After the game we drove off to the dirt bike track. We didn't get to ride any bikes but
it was worth it to see some of the locals ride. For lunch we had some Australian KFC. It was pretty much the same as normal
KFC but they had fries or "chips". for the rest of the day we hung around the house until it was time to go to the
homestay dinner party. All of the delegates and homestay families met up for a night of music, food, and dancing. After that
it was nice to once again throw myself on the matress and fall asleep.
