Date: Saturday 7/12/08
Day:16 of my journey Lyon, France Here was another cross country trip. We were supposed to travel from Nice to Lyon. I checked the itinerary
for today noticing. The rolling hills seemed to hypnotize me into a deep deep sleep. When I woke up the bus drifted slowly
to a gentle stop. I jumped out of the bus to both regain my balance and get my baggette. When we got back on the bus I utilized
the time to catch up on my journal. I managed to catch up to date all the way, but that was about as far as I got for the
entire trip. When I finished I notice the time and not only were we late for lunch and our appointment. Well so much for our
educational meeting. In the mean time I talked to Johnnie about our lives back home. This probably made me more homesick than
anything else. When we finally arrived at our stop. We got up and we had our lunch. I sat with my good friends Johnnie Greco
and Matt Minder. We talked about ridiculous things that happened so far, the events we were looking forward to, and
what we missed most about home. I kept quiet for the last one. I was homesick enough as it was I felt like I didn't need
any more reminders.
We all boarded our bus and made our way to our hotel. We didn't actually get there until Nine o'clock
at night, so we had to eat our dinner late and quickly. |
